AWANA — Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15) is a fun and exciting ministry for children 3 years - 6th grade.  It involves Bible memory, games, a Scripture lesson and singing.  Children who excel receive special rewards throughout the year, and can earn even bigger awards at our annual Awards Night.  Children who attend also have the opportunity to compete each year in AWANA Olympics which is loads of fun.  AWANA is a worldwide ministry which wins boys and girls to Christ and builds them in their faith.  AWANA meets at Valley each Wednesday evening September - May from 6:45 - 8:15pm.  To learn more about AWANA or to register your child, please call the church office at 479-3390 and ask for Amy or Kathy.  Also, please check out our AWANA web page.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL — Childrens Sunday School classes are held each week at Valley from 9:15 - 10:15am in the education wing.  Kids learn great Bible truth, often do crafts, and in general have lots of fun.  There are classes for Pre-schoolers, 1st and 2nd grades, and 3rd-5th grades.  There are also classes for Jr./ Sr. High (6th-12th grades), and adults.  During Sunday School there is a nursery so that parents can attend adult classes.

 

CHILDRENS CHURCH and NURSERY — During morning worship (10:45 - noon) there are three ministries for children:  Nusery (0-2 years), Jr. Childrens Church (3-5 years), and Childrens Church (K-3rd grade).  Children should be dropped off for the nursery and Jr. Childrens Church prior to the morning worship service.  For the older Childrens Church (K-3rd grade) children come into the sanctuary for the first part of the service so they can join in the singing, and then are released during the greeting time.  A Childrens Church worker meets them in the foyer and takes them to class.  During Childrens Church children are involved in a number of activities including music, Bible story and crafts.  It is most helpful if all children are picked up immediately following worship.
